Evangeline Lilly Just Revealed A Major Ant-Man And The Wasp Spoiler

Potential spoilers ahead for Ant-Man and the Wasp!!

If there's one thing that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for, its secrecy. Marvel Studios does everything it can to keep its films' contents under wraps, allowing for moments of surprise and joy in the theater. Unfortunately, some of the starring cast members can make this a difficult task, as interviews and social media activity can unwittingly ruin film's contents. While Mark Ruffalo and Tom Holland are the MCU's worst offenders, Ant-Man and The Wasp actress Evangeline Lilly may have revealed a potential villain of the upcoming sequel. While encouraging her followers to vote in the primaries happening across the country, Lilly seems to indicate that Goliath will be the big villain of the second Ant-Man movie.

For those of you who are confused - we had to win the senate before we could tackle the house. We DID win the senate and that was INCREDIBLE, now let's do it all over again. That was Goliath, now we're facing Thanos. Don't let them censor and throttle us. Let's get loud. Let's win again.

While there could be a David vs. Goliath reference happening here, it certainly does seem like Evangeline Lilly is talking about the two villains she'll be facing in the MCU. Ant-Man and The Wasp will presumably feature Goliath as a villain, before Hope eventually crosses over and helps battle Thanos in Avengers 4.

Evangeline Lilly's Instagram post is sure to turn a few heads, especially as we get closer to Ant-Man and The Wasp's highly anticipated release. From the trailers and first footage, it seems like the duo of pint-sized heroes would be mostly battling Hannah John-Kamen's Ghost throughout the course of the movie. But the conflict can't be that simple, so fans were expecting another villainous character to pop up, be it Michelle Pfeiffer's Janet Van Dyne or Laurence Fisburne's Bill Foster. Now the latter seems more likely.

Bill Foster pops up briefly in the trailer for Ant-Man and The Wasp, and seems to be a potential ally for Scott and Hope on their journey. He and Scott compare "sizes," meaning how large they've managed to grow through the use of the franchise's signature tech. Not it appears that the upcoming sequel may pull a fast one, and bring Goliath to the silver screen for the first time. Project G.O.L.I.A.T.H. was already mentioned by name, so fans were hoping the character would appear sometime during the film's runtime. Now we just have to wait and see.

All will be revealed when Ant-Man and The Wasp arrives in theaters on July 6, 2018. In the meantime, check out our 2018 release list to plan your next trip to the movies.

Ant-Man & The Wasp director Peyton Reed had revealed in a previous interview that the sequel film won't essentially be a full-on romantic-comedy film. He also mentioned that Evangeline Lilly's role in the film as The Wasp will not be that of a supporting actor.

Evangeline Lilly Just Revealed A Major Ant-Man And The Wasp

The biggest stand out from the film is without a doubt Evangeline Lilly's Wasp. She's without a doubt a co-lead for the film. I had some worry that her role wouldn't be as significant as Marvel kept trying to sell it as, but this is just as much her film as it is Ant-Man's. And my god does she kick ass.

Star Wars Exec Reveals A Lightsaber Goof In Empire Strikes Back

Star Wars Exec Reveals A Lightsaber Goof In Empire Strikes Back

As fans get emotionally ready for Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker at years end, it may soon be time for a movie marathon of the series. And now when you revisit Empire Strikes Back you can point out this deep cut goof that sadly reminds fans of the franchises Earthly roots.

Lucasfilms Pablo Hidalgo, who is a creative executive in story development took to Twitter to share his catch during his rewatch of Episode IV. Take a look:

Do you see it? If you look really closely on the left screenshot, you can see an upside down encryption of New York on the top of the lightsaber. The empire strikes back indeed the Empire State Building that is! Why would the prop be made to include this anyway? Does New York even exist in the Star Wars universe? I guess the Big Apple made Lukes iconic lightsaber! Who knew, right?

The fact that it made the final cut means that the filmmakers probably never noticed it. In fact, no one did! Pablo Hidalgos find is the first mention of the goof in the 40 years Empire Strikes Back by the internets memory.

The screenshot is from the beginning of the film when Mark Hamills Luke is on Hoth, trapped inside the cave of a Wampa. Take a look below:

Ill never look at that scene the same way again. Or Lukes lightsaber for that matter. In the current Star Wars timeline Rey will be in the possession of this Lightsaber, which she will apparently repair after it was broken in The Last Jedi. To maintain continuity, maybe New York will still be on it? Hidalgo might have contemplated it - part of his job description is to help create and maintain a cohesive canon in the Star Wars universe.

New York just cant help but make its way into major movie franchise. Between it being a central hub for the Marvel Cinematic Universe and just about every 2000s rom-com, the city certainly likes the big screen attention. It couldnt just let Hoth have its moment, could it?

These days, it can be easy to forget that Star Wars started as a low budget project. Empire Strikes Back had an initial production budget of $18 million, which was actually 50% more than A New Hopes. In comparison, The Last Jedis budget was between $200 to $317 million. Fun goofs like this allow us to remember this.

Fans can now build their own lightsaber at the newly opened Star Wars Galaxys Edge at Disneyland. Owning your own metal, customizable saber costs $200 for guests, but comes with a 20 minute experience (check out CinemaBlends own review of the experience for more information on it).

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker hits theaters on December 20, 2019.

Tony Starks Avengers: Endgame Cabin Is Getting Way More Expensive On Airbnb

Tony Starks Avengers: Endgame Cabin Is Getting Way More Expensive On Airbnb

Warning: SPOILERS for Avengers: Endgame are ahead!

Sometimes in order to move on, you need a change of scenery. Thats what Tony Stark did in the five-year jump during Avengers: Endgame, as he, Pepper Potts and their daughter Morgan were living a quiet life at a lakeside cabin. Tony is now gone after sacrificing his life to save his universe, but his cabin remains both within the Marvel Cinematic Universe and in real life, although regarding the latter, its going to cost you a lot more should you wish to stay there.

Tony Starks cabin from Avengers: Endgame is located in Fairborn, Georgia, specifically in the middle of Bouckerat Farm, and its not that far a drive from there to Atlanta International Airport or Atlanta itself. If you head over to Airbnb, you can rent the cabin, but while just a couple days ago it was $335 per night, now youll have to pay $800 per night.

Wow, thats a huge price hike! No doubt all the extra attention this cabin has gotten for being one of Avengers: Endgames most important locations resulted in the increase. If so many Marvel fans are interested in spending time in the place where Tony Stark lived out the final years of his life and where the heros funeral was held, surely some of them will be willing so spend a little extra money to hang out at the property, right?

So if youre still willing to throw down $800 a night to stay in this cabin, what bang do you get for your buck? Well, the three-bedroom cabin is also equipped with a kitchen, an indoor fireplace and Wi-Fi, and theres also free parking on the premises. And, of course, for those of you who are more outdoors-y, youll be able to venture out into the woods nearby to see soak in nature and see if you can spot any wild animals nearby.

Sadly, theres no mention of if the bench where Old Man Steve Rogers was sitting when he passed on the Captain America mantle to Sam Wilson is on the property. Perhaps that bench was brought in for the movie, or perhaps that touching scene was shot elsewhere. Either way, having the bench nearby would complete the ensemble.

Since Tony Stark has passed on, its unclear if well ever revisit this cabin in the MCU. Gwyneth Paltrow has said that she doesnt plan to reprise Pepper Potts in any major capacity going forward, but that doesnt rule out reuniting with Morgan Stark down the line. Years from now, maybe well see a teen Morgan back at that cabin demonstrating the same technical and scientific prowess that her father showed off at a young age.

Avengers: Endgame is winding down its time in theaters, but stay tuned to CinemaBlend for when it will be released on home media. In the meantime, the MCU will pick back up with Spider-Man: Far From Home on July 2, and browse through our Marvel movies guide to learn what else the MCU has coming down the pipeline.
